The Private Sector

Directing Society's Surplus

To Those In Need

We are dedicated to responding to the needs of the young, the old, the hungry, and the homeless.

We believe that in sharing our abundance with others, we realize our true wealth as a nation.

The Private Sector is an all volunteer 501c-3 charity that distributes free food, clothing and housing support to the lowest income neighbors in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, California, and the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

Since 1984, the The Private Sector has been able to provide aid and housing for low-income families and individuals. Thousands of people have already benefited from the food, shelter and support offered through the Sanctuary and food programs which re-distribute surplus goods and puts them directly in the hands of people of all ages who need them the most.

“The donor prospers when the gift is love.”
